La Locanda Italiana

From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was delicious, and the servers were very friendly! The only downside was the noise inside the restaurant and the wait for the food… I should mention that we were there on a Saturday night (all the tables were full that evening), which I imagine isn't a regular occurrence! I would still recommend it for lovers of Italian cuisine!

Excellent value for money, family atmosphere. A small inn that's well worth a visit for a meal with family or friends. A significant advantage is the ability to reserve the entire place for private events such as birthdays, baptisms, or other celebrations. I highly recommend it.

Don't listen to the smart aleck... I ate well last night. Good atmosphere, very good guitar sometimes.

Avoid at all costs! A scene straight out of Kitchen Nightmares. We were our table of 14, and a table of 2 arrived during the evening. The lack of customers should have been a red flag on a Friday night. Hygiene was extremely questionable: an unidentified object in a 3-year-old's plate (resembling pink chewed gum), a sticky chair that I had to swap with one from another table, dog poop everywhere outside—we had to tell the children to go inside because they were getting their feet dirty. The toilets opening onto the dining room were out of order, but there was no sign indicating this. It's an Italian restaurant with pizzas on the menu. Not that night. Strange, but okay. For the aperitif, the side was a pizza cut into pieces. So, from the day before? In any case, it wasn't good. The whiskey and cokes were poorly mixed, there was no draft beer, and no cocktails, even though they were on the menu. But as for the food, it was rock bottom! For the children, frozen food where even the fries weren't cooked. For the adult menus, low-quality deli meats worthy of a discount store, vacuum-packed. For the main courses, two Milanese veal cutlets, pink inside, and a pasta dish stuffed with spinach and cheese in a tomato sauce. Served on a platter with unidentified brown stains (see photo). The dishes weren't eaten, and we asked them not to order the rest. We ended the ordeal by asking to pay for the children's menus and drinks, and we quickly made a reservation at La Conciergerie in Andrézieux to eat properly and without the risk of food poisoning. Apparently, the restaurant had closed for a long time due to health issues. The previous good reviews are therefore no longer valid.
