Le Marmiton du Pilat

I don't understand some of the negative comments. My experience was quite different. I received a very warm welcome when renting the via ferrata equipment (full set €20), both from the gentleman and the lady. On my return, I stopped for a drink, and the food I saw being served smelled absolutely delicious. I think it's not always easy being a restaurant owner these days. I'm not saying there are never any minor issues, but we're all human, and sometimes arriving with a simple "hello" and a smile is all it takes to make a difference. Thank you for your hospitality; I was delighted with my visit!

Delicious food, excellent service, and a lovely terrace! Everything was perfect, from the quality to the quantity. Thank you to the owner and all his wonderful staff—attentive, caring, and generous people. We will be back.

A warm welcome, and the food is particularly good! Everything is homemade, and it shows from the main course to the dessert. The pleasant surprise came when the bill arrived; the price was more than reasonable.

A random stop during a day trip. The homemade meal was delicious. We tried the lasagna and panna cotta. Special mention to the very pleasant and attentive waitress, despite the restaurant being packed. It was a real treat!

Last night I ate what was surely one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. It was a very simple pizza, an anchovy pizza, but the anchovies were fresh and high-quality, accompanied by capers that weren't at all acidic and had a pleasant taste. I think it's worth making the trip from Saint-Étienne to eat a pizza at Le Marmiton du Pilat. A truly excellent place.

Just used for drinks with friends after a hike. Outside, a large chalkboard displays the menu; the prices are reasonable.

The staff are welcoming. It's quiet and very family-friendly. I like to sit down and have my coffee and Perrier early in the morning. Located in the heart of the village of Planfoy, it's a pleasant place to stop.

Homemade food, and you can taste the difference! Very warm welcome. Impeccable service. My only complaint is that there's only one dish per day, hence my 4 stars.

The pizza was really very good, I'll come back if I have the chance to visit La Via again!!

Getting yelled at for asking for the equipment manager's contact information is nice. If you provide bad service, don't take it out on the customers.
