Excellent welcome

We expected better. Very disappointing, soulless cuisine. And in terms of value for money, we know much better places. Really nothing special. A shame because the setting is lovely. Potential wasted. Excuse me for bruising your ego... but when I go to a restaurant, it's to eat better than at home!

Despite a warm welcome and pleasant service, we left Lava Rock Grill very disappointed. The menu was limited, focusing primarily on meat, with only three appetizers and three fish dishes, which were unfortunately unavailable when we visited. Furthermore, the waitress took our order without writing it down, which led to mistakes: two of us didn't receive the dishes we ordered. We chose not to mention it at the time, but it clearly marred our experience. It's a real shame, as we expected more. I sincerely miss Di Belagio.

A lucky find – and we were thrilled! We stumbled upon Di Bellagio in Saint-Chamond by chance during an overnight stay – a real stroke of luck! The very friendly owner let us in even though the kitchen was already closed and allowed us to enjoy a late dinner. The conversation was warm and welcoming, the food excellent – ​​you can tell that they work with passion. Highly recommended! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back.

The owner, a true food enthusiast eager to share his experience and expertise, is the driving force behind this establishment and the star of our evening. It was a pleasure to listen to him explain the techniques, origins, and choices behind each dish on his menu. The limited selection speaks volumes about the high quality of the ingredients and the freshness of the food. We were delighted to have spent our evening here and left already looking forward to returning soon.

The food was excellent, made with fresh ingredients and generous portions! The owner and staff were very kind, down-to-earth, and pleasant. Something to improve: the beef I ordered rare was served medium-rare, and the sweet potato mash had too much cinnamon. But I still recommend it and I'll definitely be back 😉
